However, nothing takes the place of an actual visit. On behalf of my wife and I and the entire Mt. Zion Family, WE INVITE YOU TO COME AND WORSHIP WITH US.

The Mission of the
Each local church of the African Methodist Episcopal Church shall engage in carrying out the spirit of the original Free African Society out of which the A.M.E. Church evolved.
Love God
Love the Lord your God with all your heart
and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.
(Matthew 22:37-38 NIV)
Love People
And the second is like it:
Love your neighbor as yourself.
All the Law and the Prophets
hang on these two commandments.
(Matthew 22:39-40 NIV)
Make Disciples
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
(Matthew 28:19-20 NIV)
Our denomination is a member of the Methodist family of Christian Churches and as such we do not differ in any major way from what all Methodists believe. The A.M.E. Church, however, was established not on account of any doctrinal difference, but on account of unchristian practices which limited and even dehumanized people of African descent. The two great historic documents which are the basis of what we believe are The Apostles' Creed and The Twenty-Five Articles of Religion.
